JOURNALING 101
JOURNALING 101
A little backstory on my brain is that I'll be completely passionate about something for a solid few weeks before I'm bored and need something new. Something that has been able to keep my interest, though, is journaling! I've tried bullet journaling, memory journaling, and journaling to suppress anxiety! Each type of journaling has a purpose and can boost productivity as well as happiness.
Bullet journaling is a type of planning based on a bullet system. Each symbol has a different meaning and is great to keep you organized. Bullet journaling is also a fantastic outlet for art and creativity. Commonly dot grid notebooks are used so you can still write straight but the dots are less in your face than lines. Some popular spreads for bullet journaling are calendars, habit and mood trackers, and gratitude logs.
Memory journaling and anxiety journaling are the same things for me. It's one notebook that comes everywhere with me where I can jot down any ideas and thoughts I have. Depending on the day, I can write one line or seven pages. Not having the stress of having to fill in a pre-made, weekly spread is what deterred me from bullet journaling to memory journaling. You can still release your creative side and draw and for me, it's a place where my scattered brain can run wild. Something that brings me great joy is giving each day a title as if it's an episode in the TV series of my life.
Journaling can help in so many ways and I hope I convinced you to try it out!
