Modern Day Romeo and Juliet
On a summer's day in Verona Italy, a lovesick couple met eyes from across the road. The city was holding a street concert that they watched from their balconies. They felt an immediate connection and started talking on social media. Paola and Michele wanted to meet up but the devious Coronavirus kept them apart. On their separate balconies, they waved and even made posters to interact. Months later when the restrictions were lifted they met up and fell instantly in love.
Their modern romance closely resembles Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet! Verona is the setting for both stories, and both couples were kept apart. Paola and Michele are now engaged and are to be or not to be married...heh. The venue they are planning on having is an Italian landmark commemorating Romeo and Juliet's story. Hopefully, their marriage doesn't end as tragically:)
