The Thai Elephant
The Thai Elephant
Hey friends! Have you ever had Thai food? Our class was learning about Thailand for geography recently and we went to a Thai restaurant to try out some food. We decided to go to The Thai Elephant on Clearwater Avenue.
When you first walk in there’s a bunch of interesting decorations and statues to greet you. We took some pictures by a couple! It’s decorated so cute and they even had fancy music playing! We ordered pad Thai, orange chicken, calamari (squid), spring rolls, curry, pineapple fried rice with shrimp, and chow mein.
My personal favorites were the orange chicken, chow mein, and curry. The orange chicken was sooo good, much better than Panda Express! No offense of course. ;) I was a little reluctant to try the calamari but it was pretty good. It tasted a little like fried fish sticks. If you drenched it in sauce it was good! The curry was full of flavor and just enough heat! It was delicious and I would love to have it again.
My least favorite dish was probably the Pad Thai. It was okay, but I didn’t really like the texture and it honestly tasted a little like cat food. Don’t ask me how I know what that tastes like.
For dessert we had mango sticky rice! It was so delicious. It had a creamy coconut sauce poured over sticky rice and served with slices of silky mango. I could eat that allllll day.
Our waitress was so cute and polite and they had great service! I really enjoyed the outing and I think everyone else did too. I would for sure go again, and I hope you guys will try it out sometime!
