British Columbia, Canada
British Columbia is one of the ten provinces in Canada, and farthest west. British Columbia is a beautiful part of this country, full of wonderful coastlines and towering mountains, including Whistler. Out of all the provinces and territories in Canada, I believe British Columbia is one of the best.
First off, British Columbia is full of pretty landscapes. There are lots of provincial parks in BC, one of my favorites is the Garibaldi Provincial Park. Tall mountains and green pine trees surround the park. It’s famous for Garibaldi Lake, a lake with wonderful turquoise waters, almost so clear you can see straight to the bottom (pictured below).
Whistler Mountain is part of the Fitzsimmons Mountain Range and located on the northwestern edge of the Garibaldi Provincial Park. In 2010, Whistler was the location for the Winter Olympics. First winning its fame for this, it is now home to many other exciting events like bobsledding, film festivals, and more. Whistler is an adorable little town at the bottom of Whistler Mountain. Whistler is like one of the Christmas towns in a Hallmark movie.
The capital of British Columbia is Victoria, which sits on the south end of Vancouver Island. Victoria is known for its colonial architecture and outdoor gardens. The Butchart Gardens have many beautiful flowers and receive around a million visitors each year.
Vancouver is the most populated city in British Columbia, and a bustling west coast city in Canada. Vancouver has some beautiful architecture and is a favorite filming spot, being surrounded by mountains. Vancouver also consists of many nice parks with views of the water.
British Columbia has so much all packed into one province and I think it would be worth the visit. What do you think, would you visit?
